frequently asked questions

Where are you based?
I’m based in Leigh on Sea Essex.

How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I have been a photographer for 13 years and a wedding photographer for 10 years.

What camera and lenses do you use?
I use 2 Canon 5D Mark III’s along with many Canon L Series prime lenses, and my trusty telephoto lens for the back of churches and during speeches.

Do you bring a second shooter?
If it is a large wedding I will suggest that I bring along my second shooter, the cost for this is an extra £200.

Are you insured?
Yes, I have fully comprehensive insurance including public liability and professional indemnity.

Do you do group photography as there’s not much of it on your website?
Yes of course, I usually suggest around 10 groups. I can shoot these pretty quick and as simple or creative as you wish so that we can have more time to capture the day, but of course we can discuss your requirements before the big day.

How do we book you?
To book me I need a completed booking form along with a 50% deposit. Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis. The most popular summer dates go first, therefore I can’t hold dates for couples without a deposit. The final payment is due 30 days before your wedding date.

When will our wedding images be ready?
Depending on workload your images are usually ready around 4 – 6 weeks after your wedding, but a few days after your wedding I usually post a few to Facebook for you. When all your images are ready I’ll send you a personalised USB in the post and also put up an online gallery so all your family and friends can see your beautiful Wedding day. If I am creating you an album then it will take a little longer as it needs to be designed, approved and made.

I love your photography but we have a really small budget can you help?
Yes let me know your date, venue and budget so I can then let you know what I can do for you.

What would happen if you were taken ill on the day of our wedding?
Although thankfully this has never happened, I am a part of a group of many wedding photographers that provides emergency cover at short notice.
